Terms of Service

Effective October 25, 2026. Please read these terms before booking a shipment.

1. Who these terms cover

These terms are an agreement between you (“Customer”, meaning the sender, or anyone booking on the sender’s behalf) and Transland Expert Logistics (“Transland”, “we”). They apply to every quote, pickup, booking and shipment, and to your use of this website. By booking a shipment, or by handing us a parcel, you accept them. Where a written quote or booking confirmation contains a different term, the quote or confirmation prevails for that shipment.

2. Quotes and bookings

A quote is valid for 14 days and is based on the details you give us: service, route, weight, dimensions and contents. If the actual weight, volume, contents or destination differ, we may revise the price before or after collection. A booking is confirmed when we collect or receive your parcel and register it with a tracking number.

3. Charges and chargeable weight

We charge on the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 5000), as shown in our rate calculator. Charges are payable as stated in your quote, before dispatch unless we agree otherwise in writing. Prices exclude customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees and optional insurance unless the quote says they are included.

4. Your responsibilities as shipper

You confirm and promise that: (a) you own the goods or are authorised to ship them; (b) the contents, quantity, value and descriptions you declare are complete and accurate; (c) the sender and receiver details are correct; (d) the goods are lawfully exportable, transportable and importable, and you hold any licence or permit required; (e) the goods are packed to withstand international handling; and (f) the goods are not prohibited under clause 5. You are responsible for fines, seizure costs, storage, re-export or disposal costs that result from inaccurate information or non-compliant goods, and you will indemnify us against claims and penalties arising from them.

5. Prohibited and restricted goods

We do not carry the goods listed as prohibited in our shipping guide, including illegal drugs, weapons and explosives, hazardous materials, counterfeit goods, live animals and cash. Restricted goods, such as lithium batteries, liquids, medicines and alcohol, are accepted only after we confirm in writing that they can be shipped on your chosen route and service. We may refuse, hold, return or report to the authorities any shipment that we believe breaks these rules, and no refund is due in that case.

6. Inspection

Customs, security and law-enforcement authorities may open and inspect any shipment. We may also open and inspect a shipment to verify its contents or comply with law. We are not liable for delay, damage or loss caused by an inspection carried out by an authority.

7. Customs, duties and taxes

Unless the booking says otherwise, duties, import taxes and customs fees at the destination are payable by the receiver, and by the sender if the receiver does not pay. We may act as your agent for customs clearance. If an authority raises a charge after delivery, you remain responsible for it.

8. Transit times and delays

Estimated delivery dates and transit times, including those on our website and tracking pages, are estimates and not guarantees. Delays caused by customs, weather, strikes, carrier schedules, security measures, incorrect addresses or other events outside our reasonable control do not make us liable for the delay.

9. Holds

We may place a shipment on hold, and the tracking page will display the hold and the reason, if: (a) customs or another authority requires inspection or documents; (b) required documents, information or permits are missing or inconsistent; (c) charges are unpaid; (d) the goods may be prohibited, unsafe or unlawful; or (e) we are legally required to do so. We will contact you about what is needed. A hold is released once the issue is resolved. Storage and handling charges may apply while a shipment is on hold for reasons within your control.

10. Failed delivery and unclaimed shipments

If delivery fails because the receiver cannot be reached, the address is wrong or the receiver refuses the shipment, we will contact you. We may store the shipment free of charge for 14 days, after which reasonable storage charges apply. If a shipment is not collected, redirected or paid for within 90 days, we may sell, donate or dispose of it, as permitted by law, and apply any proceeds to the amounts you owe.

11. Insurance and limit of liability

Unless you buy additional protection and we confirm it in writing, our liability for loss of or damage to a shipment is limited to the lower of (a) the actual, proven value of the lost or damaged goods and (b) US$100 per shipment. If you purchase protection, our liability is limited to the declared value you insured, subject to the policy terms. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, business, market or use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and where a mandatory international transport convention applies (for example the Montreal Convention for carriage by air) its rules and limits apply to the extent required.

12. Claims

Report visible damage within 7 days after delivery, and keep the goods and packaging for inspection. Report a shipment as lost if it has not been delivered 30 days after its estimated delivery date. Send claims to translandexpertlogistics@gmail.com with your tracking number, proof of value (invoice or receipt), photographs of any damage, and the packing list. We will acknowledge a claim within 5 business days and aim to decide it within 30 days of receiving all documents. Claims made after these periods may be refused to the extent the law allows.

13. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a booking before we collect or dispatch the parcel. After dispatch, we may cancel or recall a shipment only where the carrier allows it, and recall costs are charged to you. Refunds, where due, are made to the original payment method after deducting any costs already incurred.

14. Tracking and website information

Tracking information is entered by our team from carrier and partner updates. It is provided as a service, may lag behind real movements, and map positions are approximate. We try to keep the website accurate but do not warrant that it is error-free or always available.

15. Communications

You agree that we may contact you by email, phone or message about your quotes and shipments, including automatic status notifications to the email address you give us.

16. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, epidemics, government action, sanctions, border closures, strikes, and failures of carriers, ports or networks.

17. Sanctions and export controls

You must not use our services in breach of applicable sanctions or export-control laws. We may refuse or suspend a shipment where we believe it would breach them.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Transland Expert Logistics is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve any dispute by negotiation for 30 days after written notice. If it is not resolved, the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

19. General

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. We may update these terms; the version in force when you book a shipment applies to that shipment. Contact: translandexpertlogistics@gmail.com, +1 256-903-5286.
